Recognising Excellence: Lt. Conor Lichfield Wins the Newmark Helicopter Flying Trophy

On 21st March 2025, RAF Shawbury once again played host to an important moment in military aviation training. We were delighted to see Lt. Conor Lichfield awarded the Newmark Helicopter Flying Trophy, presented for achieving the highest flying marks among his peers.

Established to celebrate outstanding skill, precision, and dedication, the Newmark Helicopter Flying Trophy has become a proud tradition at RAF Shawbury. Several times a year, it honours the trainee pilot who exemplifies excellence throughout their training — and Lt. Lichfield has certainly earned his place among the trophy’s distinguished recipients.

Along with the trophy itself, Lt. Lichfield was also presented with a Newmark 6BB Pilots Chronograph, a timepiece built to reflect the exacting standards demanded by professional aviators. The 6BB Chronograph’s heritage and rugged design make it a fitting companion for pilots who demonstrate extraordinary commitment and expertise.

Everyone at Newmark congratulates Lt. Lichfield on this remarkable achievement, and we look forward to seeing his future success in the world of military aviation.
